Safe Working Conditions
The HSE-OHS group provides support and assistance to ensure workplaces at CERN duly comply with applicable Host State regulations (France and Switzerland) and CERN Safety requirements. This service covers general workplace design, sanitation facilities, workplace lighting, accessibility & evacuation for people with reduced mobility; floor safety, and lone working, with the goal of providing safe, healthy and suitable ergonomic provisions for all personnel.
The HSE-OHS group provides the following services:
- Guidance on applying Host State legislation and CERN safety rules to workplace conditions and implementing associated provisions.
- Assessment of workplace compliance and safety conditions.
- Support for integrating safety requirements in workplace design and modifications.
- Advice on risk assessment and preventive measures for specific work situations/conditions.
