Event organisation Safety support
The HSE-OHS group supports the CERN community in ensuring that events are organised in compliance with applicable Safety regulations, requirements, and best practices. This service provides assistance in matters of Safety for all official events organised by CERN on site, all official events organised by CERN clubs that are recognised by CERN, and non-official events (e.g. private parties, organic unit’s events, summer BBQs etc.) when they are brought to the attention of the HSE-OHS group and deemed necessary by the Safety Support of Events service coordinator. They integrate Safety aspects from the earliest stages of event planning to mitigate risks and ensure a safe environment for all participants.
The HSE-OHS group provides the following services to event organisers:
- Advice and support on Safety-related aspects throughout the planning and organisation of events.
- Monitoring and verification of compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.
